Shree Jagannath Temple of Puri is an important Hindu temple dedicated to Lord Jagannath, a form of Lord Maha Vishnu. It is one of the Char Dhams and an important pilgrimage destination located in Puri in the state of Odisha. The worshipping rituals of the temple are rigorous with the idol of Lord Vishnu being replaced every 12 to 19 years. Moreover, unlike other idols made from stone and metal the idol inside the temple is made of wood.
